Chef Tiffany Tisdale-Braxton, a Tulsa Oklahoma native, is a seasoned chef with over 13 years in the culinary industry. As a two-year judge for the James Beard Media Awards, she has built an impressive career working with high-end clientele and nationally recognized brands including SoundCloud Inc., Pastor Mike Todd and Transformation Church, Rickey Smiley, The Washington Commanders Organization, Walmart, AT&T, The National Basketball Association, The Professional Golf Association and KitchenAid. Beyond her professional achievements, Chef Tiffany is a devoted wife, mother and culinary influencer, shaping the industry with her expertise, creativity and passion for food. 

 

Tisdale23 Catering was founded by Chef Tiffany in 2011 after the untimely passing for her late father Wayman L. Tisdale Sr. to a rare form of bone cancer in 2009. Wayman Tisdale was an Olympic gold medalist, former NBA star having played for the Indiana Pacers, The Sacramento Kings, and the Phoenix Suns and a professional jazz bassist. During a longer stint he had in the hospital, the two talked endlessly about what she wanted to do once she graduated college. Unfortunately, his ongoing battle landed the family in the hospital throughout the Christmas holiday. Due to these circumstances Chef Tiffany decided to bring some holiday cheer to the family by preparing a holiday meal for them to partake in. Because of her dad's radiation treatments, it was difficult for him to eat during this time. However, on Christmas Day he ate two servings of the food prepared by Chef Tiffany and she took that as her sign to take her cooking more seriously. The way this made her dad feel during some of his darkest days motivated her to take her gift more seriously with hopes to share it with others one day.
